Beat Street (1984)

Released the same year as
that other break-dancing movie, Beat Street is the East Coast breaker's movie. What's the difference, you say? Less poppin' n' lockin' and more spinning! Lots and lots of spinning! This one has a slightly more serious tone and decidedly less breaking, as it focuses more on an aspiring DJ (Guy Davis) and his troubled friends' lives growing up in the Bronx. Still, much like Krush Groove, it features a lively soundtrack and cameos from many of the artists in the film. With five added bonus tracks, this is one mighty fine collection.
Tracks:
01 Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel and the Furious Five - Beat Street Breakdown
02 The System - Baptize the Beat

Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987)

I was hoping to get this one up in time for Thanksgiving (as it is
the quintessential Thanksgiving movie and one of my all-time favs), but couldn't track it down in time. As with all John Hughes movies, this one has a great soundtrack - including Dream Academy's "Power to Believe" and Blue Room's cover of "Every Time You Go Away" (as a bonus!). Unfortunately, this soundtrack is a really hard one to come by. Over at the Inferno Music Blog you can find the "Newborn Extended Version" with additional score tracks as well.
Tracks:

01.E.T.A. - I Can Take Anything
02.Westworld - Ba-Na-Na-Bam-Boo
03.Balaam & The Angel - I'll Show You Something Special
04.Book Of Love - Modigliani (Lost In Your Eyes)
05.The Dream Academy - Power To Believe
06.Steve Earl & The Dukes - Six Days On The Road
07.Dave Edmunds - Gonna Move
08.Emmylou Harris - Back In Baby's Arms
09.Silicon Teens - Red River Rock
10.Stars Of Heaven - Wheels
11 [Bonus] Blue Room - Every Time You Go Away
12 [Bonus] Yello - Lost Again
13 [Bonus] Steve Earle & The Dules - Continental Trailways Blues
14 [Bonus] Ray Charles - Mess Around
15 [Bonus] Lou Christie - Beyond the Blue

Roadie (1980)

Yet another one I haven't got around to watching yet. As far as I know, the soundtrack was only released on vinyl and it seems fairly hard to find. Since this was the source for these files, they are not the best quality. However, most of these tracks are available on other albums anyway.
Tracks:
01 Cheap Trick - Everything Works If You Let It
02 Pat Benatar - You Better Run
03 Joe Ely Band - Brainlock
04 Alice Cooper - Road Rats
05 Teddy Pendergrass - Can't We Try
06 Eddie Rabbitt - Drivin' My Life Away
07 Stephen Bishop & Yvonne Elliman - Your Precious Love
08 Jay Ferguson - A Man Needs A Woman
09 Styx - Crystal Ball
10 Sue Saad & The Next - Double Yellow Line
11 Blondie - Ring of Fire
12 Alice Cooper - Pain
13 Roy Orbison & Emmylou Harris - That Lovin' Feelin' Again
14 Jerry Lee Lewis - (Hot Damn) I'm a One Woman Man
15 Hank Williams, Jr. - The American Way
16 Asleep At the Wheel - Texas, Me and You
17 [Bonus] Alice Cooper - Only Women Bleed
18 [Bonus] Cheap Trick - Gonna Raise Hell
19 [Bonus] B-52s - Dance This Mess Around
20 [Bonus] Roy Orbison & Hank Williams - The Eyes Of Texas

White Water Summer (1987)

I'll admit, this entry isn't much - HOWEVER this is one of my favorite movies and it never had a soundtrack release. If you haven't seen this movie, check it out. It's a classic 80s adventure film - starring Kevin Bacon as Vic, the do-it-all adventure guide who's job is to make men of a group of boys. And he takes their training
a little too far, putting their lives in danger on more than one occasion. Sean Astin is the whiny runt of the group who eventually toughens up and becomes the hero. You might also recognize Matt Adler from the awesome surfing movie North Shore and Teen Wolf. If you have seen this movie, I'm sure you'll agree that it DESERVES an accompanying album. Alas, this is something we will never see - and something that is impossible to create - because nearly half of the songs are IMPOSSIBLE to find, as they were never released elsewhere. However, the few songs that are available make this a worthy find. If anyone has a scoop on the missing tracks - let me know!
Tracks:
1. Cutting Crew - Life in a Dangerous Time
2. Bruce Hornsby & The Range - The Wild Frontier
3. Journey - Be Good To Yourself
4. Bruce Hornsby & The Range - On the Western Skyline
5. The Cult - Aphrodisiac Jacket
6. Roy Ward - Hot Shot (with movie audio)
7. Mark Boals - Restless Heart (Demo, terrible quality)

Missing songs (from credits):
Kaylee Adams - Paradise
Michael Boddicker - Streetwalker
